Lexi

We have been mugged as well. We lost our lab puppy Lexi as well. We bought her on 16th December and she died on 30th. Our pup was advertised on Pets4Homes. We were told to be pick up from Oldham, but when they contacted us they called us in Gorton. We contacted the seller’s Vet ourselves to ask if she had any pet insurance as puppy was only 8 weeks and 2 days.

They were Irish, they ignored our call. My wife left a voicemail and mentioned that if they don’t take the call then we know where they live. Then within 5 mins her boyfriend calls, spoke to us briefly and put the phone down. We know their address which I want to keep confidential for some reason but we have dealt with the young Irish girl, her boyfriend never came. When we rang after our tragic loss, he rang us back and was very rude.

We hardly had puppy for 15 days in which puppy went through a lot and she passed away at the Vet’s.

We bought puppy on 16th December and she passes away at around 1am on 30th December. We have all info we could get, we transferred over £200 and gave £1800 cash. We have reported to RSPCA. They told us not to contact the seller yet as they are working with Animal Welfare. We spoke to Trading Standard and they said they are not sure if we can get money back as they are a private seller.

The bank details we transferred the £200 deposit to was a Lady ##### ######.

The paperwork was fake like KC papers. She was vaccinated in Ireland when she was just 6 1/2 weeks old. The Vet told us it could of been because she got vaccinated at an early age and kept with other dogs.

I want you to publish our story as well please if possible. So that other people will be alert. It’s not good for puppies, my kids are really sad and shocked by all this.
